Night&#8217;s Tea"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Last Night\u2019s Tea<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0Yesterday\u2019s lunch from the canteen was something I hadn\u2019t seen before.\u00a0 It was chicken and something wrapped in a thin pancake style arrangement.\u00a0 It looked OK so I thought I\u2019d try it.\u00a0\u00a0 I\u2019m not sure how it was supposed to taste. \u00a0Either the developer of the dish had shares in every salt mine in China or the cook was over enthusiastic when salting it. \u00a0\u00a0It was the saltiest food I\u2019ve tasted here.\u00a0\u00a0 Most of the canteen food is very salty. \u00a0Circulatory diseases are \u00a0major killers \u00a0in China.<\/p>\n<p>When tea time arrived I didn\u2019t think my system could cope with any more salt so I avoided the canteen.\u00a0 I couldn\u2019t be bothered going out and didn\u2019t want to cook beyond maybe an egg.\u00a0 When I checked my fridge I saw the remains of last week\u2019s boiled nuts and Sunday\u2019s soy beans.\u00a0 So that\u2019s what I had.\u00a0 Not exactly a balanced meal but easy and requiring little \u00a0washing up.<\/p>\n<p><link rel=\"stylesheet\" type=\"text\/css\"
