Public transport consists of trains, metro and buses.\u00a0 Buses were clean and fast but didn\u2019t wait for the unprepared.<\/p>\n
There were many prams around, especially the large high riding ones Australians consider English. \u00a0An unusual number of men were pushing prams often without an accompanying woman.<\/p>\n
Walking tours are a popular way to introduce newcomers to the city.\u00a0 I went on one on my morning of arrival.\u00a0 The tour guide was enthusiastic and knowledgeable with stories of the \u00a0history and people of Copenhagen while taking us from Town Hall Square through the old streets of the city to the Nyhaven waterfront area and around to the Amalienborg Palace precinct.<\/p>\n

\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n I bought some delicious \u00a0apples \u00a0 from the seller included in this series of photos from the Nyhaven waterfront.\u00a0They came from one of Denmark’s other islands.
